There is some hiking here but most visitors simply drive around the crater.
On June 22 part of the highway around Crater Lake was closed due to snow.

Lake of the Woods Resort

Composed mostly of cabins this small and remote resort offers more
than expected. This cold mountain lake is surrounded by Ponderosas.
But the temperature of the lake, a cool 62 ,hasn’t stopped water boarders, fishermen, kayakers and even swimmers.
One surprise here is a very decent restaurant 40 miles into the woods from Klamath Falls, Oregon.
