Violet weather due this week so we had one open fair weather
day Monday the 16th of Nov. . So we drove straight through
to ABQ some 900 miles.

Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island

We stayed at the Jamaica Beach RV. The beaches are brown not white, the water is the gulf not the water. But HEY we’re from New Mexico its the beach.
There’s a swamp side to the Island we discovered by getting out of the
truck to see the beach and we were attacked by mosquitoes from the swamp side
Carol got 12 bites in 60 seconds. Also, new signage for me the sign said, ” BEWARE OF SNAKES ON THE DUNES.’ It really has been a nice place so far.
There’s a large harbor here at Galveston.
