We’ve had a great many “technical” issues. The left door of our freezer fell off. Then the refrigerator refused to cool with propane. The refrigerator had stopped working ,but has been back on and working for several days. We saw our friends Trent and Cheryl Carrol in Amarillo. Yes, people get confused. The steak we ate at the Big Texan steakhouse (above)was not that good, don’t go there.

Oklahoma is the only state with an official meal.

It consists of the following: fried okra, cornbread, barbecue pork, squash, biscuits, sausage and gravy, grits, corn, strawberries (state fruit), chicken fried steak, pecan pie, and black-eyed peas. (If you deep fry it, just about anything, I’ll eat it ,except mountain oysters)

Staying at the Twin Fountains RV Resort. We spent a couple of hours at the resort’s SEMPER FI Bar. That’s right , an RV park with a bar and an adult only hot tub. We did find a truly wonderful RV technician today. 1. He said if I had glued the freezer door like I wanted to I would have ruined it. 2. He understood how the refrigerator works and reacts to gas pressure, temperature and told us that when the slide is IN the gas line is kinked, who knew.
