Kearney, Nebraska

The Kearney RV Park was one of those parks where 95% of the guests stay for only one night. I talked with a neighbor from Kentucky who owned a Dutch Star. At several of the parks where we stayed, I noticed an unusually large number of these RVs. The top models start at around $500,000. Apparently, Dutch Star was sponsoring a major rally in southwestern Wyoming, featuring bands and other festivities.

We find restaurants that allow dogs on their patios. Cunningham’s Journal is apparently a historic building in downtown Kearney.

Carol actually had an amazing salmon salad. I had a Cajun burger. The burger was good, but this is Midwestern fare for the average folk. The wine and spice culture hasn’t caught up here. They had only one red wine available: Sutter Home. Carol went for a brown ale. I had a Guinness. The Cajun burger was a good burger, but where was the Cajun flavor? It wasn’t in the burger.
